Stephanie Norgate is a playwright and poet. She lives in Sussex and is a Reader in Creative Writing at the University of Chichester, where she ran the MA in Creative Writing for 19 years. Her radio plays have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Her two books of poetry with Bloodaxe Books are Hidden River (2008, shortlisted for both the Forward Prize for Best First Collection and the Jerwood Aldeburgh First Collection Prize), and The Blue Den (2012). Her poetry has been recorded for Poetry Archive www.poetryarchive.org. She edited Poetry and Voice (Cambridge Scholars Publishing 2012) a book of international essays on poetry and voice. Stephanie has run workshops for schools, U3A, writers’ groups and the Arvon Foundation. She is the Otter Gallery poet in residence and was recently Fann Street Wildlife Garden poet in residence.
