Hannah Vincent’s debut novel, Alarm Girl is a family drama set in South Africa. Her early work was as a playwright, with plays produced by among others, the Royal Court and the Royal National Theatre Studio. She was a BBC Television Drama script editor from 1996-2001, working on classic adaptations as well as original drama serials. Her first radio play, Come to Grief, won the 2015 BBC Audio Drama Award for Best Adaptation. She is currently studying for her PhD at the University of Sussex and writing her second novel. She teaches Creative Writing for the Open University. Hannah’s second novel, The Weaning, will be published by Salt in 2018.
